Hotel Restaurant Steiger in Schwangau

It is a very nice family hotel with a very good massage and bath section. We will go there again. Food is great !!

The hotel & restaurant has been owned by the family for many years and you can feel that as a guest. Very friendly staff, delicious Bavarian cuisine and a wonderful view from the balcony or terrace! We were very satisfied and will be back :)

Delicious, freshly prepared food of a very good quality. Everything delicious, service very friendly. Magnificent view, just beautiful. Very good menu, something for everyone. The best piece of meat I've ever had on my plate in the Allgäu. There is also a very good selection for vegetarians. I can only recommend that

The food was delicious yesterday. My friend had also said that her plate was perfectly arranged and she liked it. You also had a nice view of the castle.

Great views from the restaurants' terrace. The food is good (I even had a vegan dish, of lentils, marinated tofu and vegetables), the service friendly. Recommended!

We have been coming to Schwangau on vacation for many years now, and this year we were at Steiger's Essen for the first time. We regret that we were only allowed to be guests for the first time after so many years and are all the more pleased to have found a new top restaurant. For us the best ever! The staff is so friendly and accommodating and the quality of the food is excellent! And then there is such a good price / performance ratio, which also plays a decisive role in a young family with two small children! For the little ones there is a small play area and crayons with a painting pad at the table. There is also a great children's menu. Thank you so much! The Kohl family with grandpa and grandma Kohl

The best lunch in the area, not eaten so well for a long time, was there 6 years ago, was just as good back then.

The food was really delicious, a large selection of food and drinks and our own lemonades. :) However, the star deduction for how staff are treated in front of the guests. Even if you're new, you don't need to be humiliated. : / Everyone can take the whole thing as they see fit, but unfortunately in this case it destroys the nice and relaxed atmosphere.

The location is very nice. The waiter was very friendly and funny. The portions were too small for us and the spaetzle unfortunately reminded me of the spaetzle bought from the package

The rating refers to the Tegelberg apartment. We were there for a week. Price in the high season perfectly okay. Apartment is quite large on two floors. However, the furniture is quite worn, the chairs in the kitchen wobbly and uncomfortable. Furthermore, simple things are missing that one would actually expect, such as a knife to peel an apple. What was there, see pictures. The armchair and couch on the upper floor also sat through and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the floor was also quite dirty, although a final cleaning will be charged. The cleaning material we requested only arrived at our place. View through the roof window of Neuschwanstein Castle is only possible to a limited extent due to the dirty windows. Unfortunately, there is also no blackout option in the bedroom? No demand whether everything was in order on departure, although the landlord lives in the house. It's a shame ... So no recommendation and no repetition from our side.

The food was super tasty and nicely presented. Service was nice, funny and very accommodating. We didn't stay in the hotel itself, so I can't say anything about it.

Amazing dishes. I only used the restaurant but I am sure the view is the same from the bedrooms. I couldn't wish a better place to have meal. It is also dog-friendly! :)

Very friendly run hotel, beautiful location and rooms with a view of the mountains. Hiking trails nearby. Everything was very clean and very quiet. Excellent food !!!! Great cook and great team.
